In the increasingly busy digital society, presence on the internet, whether through a site or an application, is only part of the battle. A website or/and an app is essential but it is followed by the need to provide an impressive user experience. In NextGen Studio we are of the opinion that the best designs are a combination of both creativity and strategy. That is why we have perfected a lean UI/UX design methodology in which all the projects should not only look but work as well.
It is based around four primary principles, which include clarity, collaboration, efficiency, and adaptability, which allow us to design something that will actually resonate with the users and lead to results.
1. Learning About the Client & Its Users
We first put time towards research and discovery before we have opened a design tool. Our process begins with detailed meetings to establish the vision, plans and brand of our client. Of equal concern, we examine their target audience and their behaviors, needs and pain points.
This step often includes::
Stakeholder interviews
Competitor analysis
Users persona generation
Formulating a clear pattern of how success can be identified both on the side of the client and the user perspective, we were at the basis of the project.
2. Structural & Flow Wireframing
When it is clear, it is then the wireframing time, which is the blueprint stage of UI/UX design. Wireframes enable us to work on layout, hierarchy and flow of navigation without the blight or the occipital facilities.
Our wire frames are done with:
User journey mapping with the aim of easy navigation
Task flows to promote the objectives of important users
Clients feedback channels to fast approval
This step will make sure that the focus is solid prior to focusing on the details perception, which saves time not spent reviving.
3. Designing with Purpose
With a clear structure, we bring the designs to life. Our UI approach blends aesthetics with functionality, ensuring every color, typography choice, and interaction element supports the user’s needs.
We also keep accessibility in mind, ensuring designs are inclusive and easy to navigate for all users. This is where our creativity shines, but always with the user’s journey as our north star.
4. Usability Test and Prototyping
An effective UI/UX should be created on the basis of user feedback. That is why we take test usability with actual users prior to the final-hand-off. We can see the way they work with the prototype, determine the areas of friction, and make corrections following which, the navigation and the clarity is achieved.
Spotting usability problems beforehand will prevent those time- and cost-consuming solutions, which usually occur during development or post-release.
5. Developer collaboration and handoff
An excellent design would be of little use when it is not deployed properly. We collaborate with developers so that the project between design and code can run smoothly.
We provide:
Extended designing specifications.
Export the right assets on the right format.
Facilitating ongoing dialogue about the intentions of design.
This type of handoff reduces miscommunication, accelerates the process of development and maintains the quality of design all the way up to the live product.
6. On-Going Continuous Improvement Post Launch
We do not stop our process when the project gets live. To us, we believe in continuous improvement by means of:
Following of user activity through analytics.
Obtaining input on actual use.
Creating iterative changes so as to make the experience dynamic and successful.
That way, our designs will be kept up to date, easy to use, and up to changing business objectives.
Why This Process Works
What makes us so streamlined is the simplicity, teamwork and repetition. Each phase is based on the previous one and clients and users are always consulted. This avoids the problem of scope creep, minimizes delays and guarantees that we create designs that are not only appealing and compelling, but good and sustainable designs.
When you are finally sold out and you want your digital product to be transformed with a new streamlined and results generating UI/UX design process, then we should talk.
We do not build interfaces at NextGen Studio, we create experiences to be trusted, enhanced to be usable and left lasting impressions among the users and the brands.
